Medical
Employees have three medical plans to choose
from-- Blue Cross PPO, Blue Cross HMO and
Kaiser. All medical plans include prescription
drug benefits. |

BioMarin employees may elect to receive PPO
dental plan coverage offered by Delta Dental. |

Vision
BioMarin employees may elect to participate
in a PPO vision plan offered by VSP. Employee
contributions are pre-tax.

Life/AD&D
Life/AD&D is provided by Fort Dearborn
and coverage is for employees only. Benefit
covers two-times annual salary, up to a maximum
of $600,000. |

Short-Term Disability
Through the Short-Term Disability plan, employees
are eligible to receive 66.67% of their monthly
salary (after a 7 day waiting period) to a
maximum of $2,350/week, up to 26 weeks. |

Long-Term Disability
For eligible employees disabled for more than
180 days, Long-Term Disability provides 66.67%
of base salary, up to two years; $10,000 maximum
monthly benefit. |

401(k) Retirement
Savings Plan
All employees may participate in the BioMarin
Retirement Savings Plan administered by MassMutual.
Employees may contribute 1% to 100% of cash
compensation (pre-tax), not to exceed the
maximum IRS annual limit. The company also
provides a match of 100% of the first 2% of
an employee’s compensation over a four-year
vesting period |

Employee Stock Purchase
Plan (ESPP)
ESPP allows employee to contribute up to 10%
of straight time earnings (after tax deductions)
to purchase BioMarin stock at a discount below
market price. |

Flexible Spending
Plan
BioMarin offers health care and dependent
care reimbursement accounts to all eligible
employees. These accounts give employees the
option to set aside pre-tax dollars to cover
medical expenses not covered by insurance
to a maximum of $4,000 per year, and dependent
care expenses up to $5,000 per year. |

Program
This is a confidential program for employees
requiring counseling and referral service
that utilizes a network of professionals,
including financial and legal services. |

Vacation Time
Employees accrue 15 days per year on a biweekly
basis. After the fourth full year of employment,
employees will accrue 20 days per year on
a biweekly basis. |

Sick Time
Employees accrue 10 days per year on a biweekly
basis. |

Holidays
BioMarin provides nine paid holidays per year.
In addition, the company will provide one
personal holiday (if hired on or before June

Education Assistance
Program
Regular full-time employees are eligible after
six months of employment to receive up to
$5,000 per year in reimbursement of tuition
